Caty Olive became a coach of young authors from CLD ITMO University

French lighting artist Caty Olive became a coach of the students from CLD ITMO University, New Media Lab and "Show Cunsulting" School. The student group is going to create artistic lighting navigation for the international festival "Night of Light in Gatchina"

The project has become known following the visit of Caty Olive at the end of 2017. At that time Caty Olive gave an open lecture for citizens of St. Petersburg at the New Stage of Alexandrinsky Theatre and hold 3-days workshop for group of students from CLD ITMO University, New Media Lab and "Show Cunsulting" School. The events were supported by the Institut Francais culture programme and Gatchina Palace and Estate Museum in the framework of the annual festival of lighting art "Night of Light in Gatchina".

Caty Olive is a lighting designer and the author of numerous light installations for the public spaces. The multiple author of many lighting concepts for the exhibitions of Jewerly House "Cartier" and lighting scenography of the museum expositions. Among her famous projects are lighting concept for Mirror Gallery in Versaille, International Art Centre in Paris, the House of Jean Proгve and Park La-Villet. Nowadays Caty Olive is working on her light installation projects "Light and Liturgy" in the Church of St.Peter at Montmartre, lighting navigation in  Fondation d’entreprise Galeries Lafayette – will open its doors on March in 2018, the architect – Rem Koolhaas, the Pritzker Prizewinner.

International festival "Night of Light in Gatchina" will be held on 10-11 August, 2018 and gather over 20 thousand people in Gatchina Park. The programme consists of 15 competitive art objects and series of professional works of artists, engineers, lighting designers and multimedia specialists. The organizer of the festival is the Gatchina Palace and Estate Museum.
