On 24 October 2019, at 11:15, Daria Chirimisina and Yulia Lyubakova, graduates of CLD ITMO University, will give a talk on the session "Philosophy & Debate" at the global convention of lighting designers PLDC 2019 in Rotterdam. Speakers will present the topic "Lumen Anthropophilicus" which is devoted to the adaptation of the lighting environment to the psychophysiology of human condition as well as the potential of new types of portable devices that can effect on the development of adaptive lighting systems in the future. Daria Chirimisina graduated from Samara State Technical University (Samara Polytech) with a degree in Design in 2016. Two years later she graduated from ITMO University with a Master's degree in Lighting Design. In 2017, she was awarded the LIT Design Award envisioned to celebrate the creativity and innovation in the fields of lighting products and application. Daria started her professional career at ITMO University in 2018 as a lighting designer of CLD ITMO University. Currently, she is a PhD student at the Faculty of Applied Optics of ITMO University. Her research interests include lighting design, media art, and emotional artificial intelligence.
Yulia Lyubakova graduated from Yuri Gagarin State Technical University of Saratov as a designer of the architectural environment in 2016. In 2018, she has become a master in Technical Physics at ITMO University and has devoted her master thesis to the influence of lighting imitation of natural forms on the psychophysiology of human condition. During her studying at the Master's Program in Lighting Design, her works were repeatedly on the focus of teaching staff. Thus, her project "Recreation area of The A. Bryantsev Youth Theatre" was recognized as the best course work and recommended to be present at the Moscow festival of the best designers-graduates "Excellent!". Even before entering the Master's Program in Lighting Design Yulia won the Russian competition of lighting installations "LIGHT: Manipulation or Motivation?" organized by CLD ITMO University.
