Until 30 August 2019 the Annual National Contest "Lighting Design 2019" is expecting for the implemented projects and design concepts of junior and senior designers from Russia and CIS countries. The award ceremony will take place within the framework of the international exhibition "Interlight Russia|Intelligent building Russia", which will be held on 10-13 September 2019 at the Expocentre in Moscow.
The competition has been held since 2001 to identify and promote talented young Russian designers and profession of lighting designer. Participation in the competition is free. Russian and foreign experts in the field of architecture, lighting design and lighting engineering evaluate the projects in three nominations: "Outdoor lighting", "Indoor lighting", and "Product Design". In each nomination, the jury selects the best implemented projects and design concepts.
Last year Daria Vakhrova and Alexandra Lezhnina, the second-year students of the Lighting Design Master’s program at ITMO University (CLD ITMO University), are named among the winners of this contest. Two projects by CLD's students were included in the top-10 list of the best "Indoor lighting" projects.
